The Fayette County Coroner is releasing further information on a Monday evening death.
Coroner Dave Harris reported earlier this week that on Monday evening he was dispatched to a residence in Bluff City where 44 year old William Aaron Sides was pronounced dead and an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday in Springfield.
Coroner Harris says, due to the numerous rumors and unfounded social media posts, he is releasing more information in the death of Sides. Harris says an autopsy held Thursday in Springfield confirms that Sides died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Harris says that on scene evidence and forensic evidence along with the autopsy confirms that it was self-inflicted.
Meanwhile, Coroner Dave Harris says he cautions individuals to stay away from posting on social media their personal opinions on what happened to someone. Harris says it is a terrible injustice to the friends and loved ones of the deceased.
