Joe led a full life with a family that loved him dearly. He was born May 2, 1949, in Wenonah, IL, the son of Wilbur H. & Elsie Maggie (Murkin) Davis. Joe married Sylvia Ann Hebenstreit on June 20, 1970, in Oconee, IL at Sacred Heart Church. He was 13 years old when he started hanging drywall and would continue constructing and remodeling homes for the next 50 years. He was an avid sports fan including watching his own children play, being at every game cheering them on. He loved a good laugh and to playfully tease and joke with people. Family game night was a favorite, playing Rummy or Play 9. He loved to hunt, garden, and spend time outside any way he could. Joe was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and a member at the Family Worship Center. He helped with the Food Pantry at FWC making many trips to Bloomington to pick up charitable donations. His family knows that he is dancing in the stars with Jesus and Jonathan. We will all be together again one day.
