
A 45-year old Bunker Hill man plead guilty in Fayette County Court on Tuesday to two charges of Criminal Sexual Abuse. Travis D. Brewer appeared for what was scheduled as a final pre-trial in the matter in which Brewer was charged with four counts of criminal sexual assault of a family member under the age of 18. Information in two of the charges against Brewer says he is alleged between the dates of May 1st, 2013 and September 30th, 2013 to have allegedly committed the offense of Criminal Sexual Assault to a Family Member under 18 with both of those counts being Class 1 Felonies. Brewer was also charged with two more counts of Criminal Sexual Assault of a Family Member under 18 between the dates of May 20th, 2012 and May 26th, 2012 with both of those also being Class 1 Felonies. Brewer also faced a fifth charge of Criminal Sexual Assault that is alleged to have occurred between December 1st, 2021 and December 30th, 2021.
In August, information on two additional counts noted as Counts VI and VII were added on as Brewer is alleged to have committed the offense of criminal sexual abuse by committing an act of sexual conduct with one victim between the dates of May 20, 2012 and May 26, 2012 and with a second victim on or about the date of December 1, 2021 with both of those charges being Class 4 felonies. During the pre-trial appearance in Fayette County Court on Tuesday, Brewer plead guilty to the two lesser charges in Counts VI and VII. As part of the guilty plea, the other counts against Brewer are dismissed and he will receive 30 months of probation, will pay fines and costs, have to seek mandatory counseling and will have the newest information added to the sex offender registration database as he is a repeat offender who has been registered since 1998.
