Gas Prices around the area spiked up recently—Effingham’s still lowest

Gas prices recently have gone up around the area, with most everyone in line with the same prices–except for Effingham.

According to the website www.gasbuddy.com, gas prices in Vandalia today are averaging from $3.19 to $3.39 per gallon.  Those prices are exactly the same for Greenville today.  Pana has gas prices ranging from $3.05 per gallon to $3.39 per gallon.  And, Highland is ranging in price from $3.09 per gallon to $3.39 per gallon.

Meanwhile, Effingham is ranging in price from $2.79 per gallon to $2.89 per gallon.  And, that $2.79 per gallon price is the cheapest price for gas in the entire state.
