Altamont Cross Country Competes in the Olney Invitational


The Altamont Cross Country team competed in the Olney Invitational at Olney Central College on Saturday.

For the girls meet, Altamont had two Lady Indians competing in the field of 134 runners from 21 schools. Senior Abi Weishaar finished in a time of 26:39.76 for 89th place and junior Katie Tedrick finished with a time of 27:04.72 for 97th place.

On the boys side of the meet, the Indians had four competing as individuals as they were one short of scoring of the required five for a team. The field would include 177 runners from 21 teams. Junior Jacob Johnson finished in 126th place with a time of 22:17.57, junior Juan Fulk was 129th with a time of 22:24.51, junior Lane Spring came in 135th with a time of 22:37.65 and freshman Wyatt Wolff finished 151st with a time of 23:45.04.

Altamont cross country team will have about a week and a half off before returning to competition at the Cork Classic hosted by Robinson High School on Thursday, October 3.
