Brownstown-St. Elmo baseball picked up their second straight win, picking up a 7-5 win over Odin-Patoka-Sandoval on the road on Monday. The Bombers busted out early with a run in the first and then four more runs in the second inning giving them a 5-0 lead. Another pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning pushed the BSE lead to 7-0 before OPS was able to score their first run in the bottom of the sixth inning and cut it to a 7-1 ballgame. BSE was held scoreless in the top of the seventh before OPS was able to put four runs on the board to cut it all the way to 7-5, but BSE was able to hold off OPS and close out the 7-5 win. BSE improves to 2-1 to start the season and will have a couple of days off before they will return to action on Thursday at home against Wayne City.
