A Brownstown man died this morning in a single vehicle accident.
Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris reports there was a single vehicle accident on County Road 1625 south of Brownstown early this morning. Harris says a truck driven by David E. Drum of Brownstown left the roadway and hit a tree. Harris reports he pronounced Drum dead at the scene at 4 am this morning.
Harris says an autopsy will be perform on Saturday in Springfield. The accident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police. No other information is being released at this time.
