A teenager was injured in a single vehicle accident on Monday in rural Vandalia.
Illinois State Police reports say that Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to a single vehicle personal injury traffic rash at U.S. Route 40 at about 2:05 on Monday afternoon. State Police say the vehicle was traveling west on U.S. Route 40 near N. 350th Street and left the roadway to the right and overturned. The driver–a 17 year old female–was transported to a regional hospital with life threatening injuries. State Police say that no further information is available.
