Vandals Junior Wrestler Sophie Bowers has advanced to the Semi-Finals.
Sophie was a winner over Nayeli Rodriguez of JS Morton in the first round by Tech Fall (15-0) to advance. She then defeated Yamilet Aguirre of Yorkville, 6 to 2, to move into the semi-finals of the 125 pound weight class in the Girls State Wrestling Tournament.
Next up for Sophie will be Ava Babbs in the semi-finals tomorrow morning beginning at 9 am.
