The South Central Lady Cougars have picked up back to back wins for the first time this season, getting a 57-42 win over Sandoval at home on Wednesday night. Taegan Webster helped jump start the Cougar offense with 10 points in the first quarter as South Central got out to a 21-14 lead over the Blackhawks. The South Central lead would hold at seven at halftime after each team put up seven points in the second quarter making it 28-21 Cougars at the break. Coming out of halftime, Percilla Reid was the one to get the Cougar offense going in the second half putting in seven points in the third as South Central outscored Sandoval 13-4 to push their lead out to 41-25. Sandoval would outscore the Cougars by a slim 17-16 margin as South Central closed out the 57-42 win. The Lady Cougars are now 5-5 on the season and will be back at home Wednesday when they host Ramsey. The two teams met at Ramsey earlier this month on December 7 and the Cougars were a 57-50 winner in that game.
