
The Vandalia Wastewater Treatment plant is a finalist for a big award.
The Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators announced the City of Vandalia Wastewater Treatment Plant has been nominated for an award for “Best Operated Wastewater Treatment Works.” The City of Vandalia’s plant is a finalist along with 3 others–Spoon Valley Lake Sanitary District, Village of Maple Park, and the City of Martinsville.
The Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators will present the award during their annual conference, which will be held March 18th through 20th at Embassy Suites in East Peoria. Vandalia and the 3 other finalists are in the Group 4 category. They were nominated for the award by the Illinois EPA’s Division of Water Pollution Control, Field Operations Section.
