A two vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Fayette County on Sunday night lead to one driver being killed in the accident.
Preliminary information from the Illinois State Police says Troop 9 responded at 9:51 pm on Sunday night to I-70 westbound near milepost 74 for a report of a two unit crash involving an SUV and truck. State Police reports say the SUV driver lost control and rolled over several times, coming to a stop in the median. The driver of the SUV was transported by medical helicopter to an area hospital where they died of their injuries. The unit 2 driver was not injured. The State Police say there is no additional information.
