The South Central Cougars got back into the win column in National Trail Conference baseball action with a 5-0 win over Neoga on Friday. After starting out conference play at 3-0, the Cougars dropped their previous three NTC contests to stand at 3-3 heading into Friday’s game. South Central put two runs up in the top of the first inning, another in the fourth and their final two runs in the top of the sixth for the 5-0 win. Overall, South Central moves to 10-4 on the season and are back above .500 in the NTC with a 4-3 record. Next up for the Cougars will be a non-conference matchup with Windsor/Stew-Stras on Monday at home.
