Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris handled 3 deaths over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Fayette County Coroner’s Office investigated the death of a 77 year old man in his home in southwestern Fayette County.
On Sunday evening, a 66 year old Herrick man was killed in a single vehicle accident just north of the Fayette County-Shelby County line. Coroner Harris says Michael J. VanUytven was pronounced dead at SBL Fayette County Hospital after his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
This morning at 5:10 am, Coroner Harris was dispatched to St. Elmo in regards to a death. Harris pronounced 22 year old Rodney J. Mars dead at 5:40 am in his home. Harris says the investigation into Mars’ death is continuing and no further information is available at this time.
