Our Boys Basketball Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season is Aidan Dodson of South Central.
Aidan averaged 22.5 points per game his Senior season, adding up to 719 total points for the year, which is a South Central High School record. He also had 43 points in one game, which is also a school record. Aidan average 4.9 rebounds per game and 109 steals on the season. He finished high school with a total of 1,358 career points. Aidan was Wayne City Holiday Tournament All-Tournament Team, Dieterich Holiday Tournament All-Tournament Team and NTC Conference All-Tournament Team. Aidan was also 1st team all NTC, IBCA Special Mention All State, Associated Press Honorable Mention All State, News Gazette Special Mention All State and ABaselineView.com All South 1st Team.
