The 14U Fuzion (Quick) softball team went 4-1 at the Dustin Brown Firecracker tournament in Olney to win the championship. The team was the 2nd seed after pool play and won their last 3 games for the championship. They will be in the Illinois State Championship this week in Peoria.
Vandalia’s Mady McCall was 4 for 13 in the tournament with 3 RBI, 2 runs scored at the plate and pitched 7 innings with 3 earned runs over 2 games. Vandalia’s Bella Walk was 2 for 10 in the tournament with 2 RBI and caught 3 games.
