A Christopher man has been charged in Fayette County Court with 3 Felony Counts.
43 year old Anthony A. Granfeldt is charged with Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, which is a Class 4 Felony. Information on the charge states that Granfeldt “drove a motor vehicle on West St. Louis Avenue and who having been given a visual signal by a peace office” is alleged to have not stopped and information in the charge says the driver allegedly exceeded speeds of 21 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. Granfeldt is also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony) as Granfeldt is alleged to have possessed a knife with a 14 inch blade.
Granfeldt will next be in Fayette County Court on May 11th at 11 am.
