Cloudy today—Rain likely late in the day today and tonight

Rain will be on the way late in the day today and tonight.

We will see cloudy skies for today with rain likely after 5 pm with a high of 55.  Winds out of the south will gust up to 40 miles per hour today.  Tonight we’ll see rain with a low dipping down to 30.  Those south winds will shift to the northwest after midnight and gust nearly 40 miles per hour tonight.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis says the best chance of rain will be this evening as a cold front moves into the region. This rain will end as the front arrives or shortly after. While it will be in the 50s to near 60 ahead of the front, expect a temperature drop of 20 degrees or more as the front moves through tonight.
