In terms of NCAA Tournament seedings and NET rankings, The Illinois Fighting Illini suffered their worst loss of the season on Sunday, as they lost 72 to 60 at Ohio State. Coming into the game, the Buckeyes hadn’t won a game in over a month and had lost 9 in a row. Coleman Hawkins had 14 points to lead the Illini and he says to blame the players for this loss.
And, Coach Brad Underwood says there was no energy from the players in this one.
The Illini fall to 19-10 overall on the season and 10-8 in the Big 10. This is the final week of the regular season for the Illini. Next up they will host Michigan on Thursday.
