Altamont exerted their dominance over Mulberry Grove from the tip-off as the Indians beat the Aces 84-28 in the quarterfinals of the Nokomis 1A Regional on Saturday night. Altamont jumped right out to a 26-9 lead by the end of the first quarter and didn’t slow down, leading 50-12 at halftime. After outscoring the Aces 23-7 in the third quarter, the Altamont lead would stand at 73-19 heading into the fourth quarter before the Indians closed out the game for the 84-28 win. Altamont moves to 26-4 on the season and advances to the regional semifinals where they will face Carlyle at 6:00pm at Nokomis on Wednesday night. Mulberry Grove ends their season with a record of 3-22.
