Now that the November General Election for 2022 is in our rear view mirror, the next election up will be the April 4th, 2023 Consolidated Election.
In the City of Vandalia, 4 City Council seats will be up for election. In Ward One, Ken Hubler has picked up a petition to run for another term, while no other individual has picked up a petition as of this time in Ward One. In Ward Two, Russ Stunkel has picked up his petition to run for another term and is currently the only person to pick up a petition in the Ward. In Ward Three, Edwin “Robert” Bowen has picked up a petition to run for the open seat. Current Ward Three Alderman Joel Rebbe has not picked up a petition as of this time. In Ward Four, Alderman Bret Brosman has picked up a petition to run for another term and Jeremy Curll has also picked up a petition to run for the seat.
Petitions to run are available at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The filing date for the petitions will be from December 12th through 19th starting at 8 am.
