Today is Election Day and the Illinois State Board of Elections has answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Most inquiries are about voting by mail says Elections Spokesperson Matt Dietrich. That includes those who have requested a mail-in ballot but have changed their mind and want to vote in person.
If you applied for a vote by mail ballot but haven’t received it yet, Dietrich says you head to your polling place and tell the election judge, who will have you sign an affidavit and let you vote in person. More information is available online at www.elections.il.gov
