For the first time in nearly a quarter century, Illinois will have a new secretary of state. The post became open after Jesse White announced he would not seek a seventh term in office. Longtime legislator Republican Dan Brady will face Democrat Alexi Giannoulias and Libertarian Jon Stewart. If elected, Brady says one priority he would address is wait times at drivers license facilities. He is proposing several remedies including using libraries.
Giannoulias told CBS2 in Chicago that he too would address wait times.
The general election is November 8th.
