A grand opening and ribbon cutting was held on Saturday morning for the new Dollar General on Route 40 in Brownstown. Brownstown Village President Ginny Wilbur did the ceremonial ribbon cutting for the store and says it has been a long process to get the store into town and it will greatly benefit Brownstown residents.
And Wilbur says she hopes this new store opening will serve as a magnet for the town to grow further.
The first 50 customers through the doors on Saturday morning received gift cards while the first 100 customers received a small gift bag as part of the grand opening celebration.
