Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is still looking for its first win in National Trail Conference baseball action after falling to St. Anthony, 12-2, on Friday. St. Anthony took a 2-0 lead after the first and pushed it to 7-0 midway through the 4th inning. With two outs in the bottom of the 4th inning, CHBC would have Clayton Wojcik reach base on a line drive single to right field before Gage Lorton would hit a home run to right field to put the Bobcats on the scoreboard and to cut the St. Anthony lead to 7-2. The Bulldogs would put 5 runs on the board in the top of the 5th thought to push their lead to 12-2 and CHBC would draw a two out walk in the bottom half of the inning but could not get any more offense going and would fall 12-1 in five innings. CHBC is now 1-10 on the season and 0-6 in the NTC. They will begin play in the Egyptian Illini Conference Tournament on Monday at 4:15pm at Brownstown against BSE.
CHBC Offensively:
