South Central saw its 9-game winning streak come to an end, falling at Teutopolis 6-0 on Monday. The Cougars tallied on 4 hits in the game, two coming in the first inning off of the bats of Anthony Buonaura and Ethan Watwood. Colton Smith would single in the 3rd and Andrew Magnus would single in the 4th to account for the South Central offense. Brody Markley would also reach base on a walk and Aiden Dodson would reach base via hit by pitch. Jon Bursott was charged with the loss on the mound for the Cougars going three innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, striking out 2 and walking 3. Chase Thompson worked the final three innings, giving up 2 runs one hit while walking three and striking out two. South Central is now 9-2 on the season and will be back on the road Tuesday for a National Trail Conference showdown at St. Anthony.
