(Champaign, IL) — Three former Illinois football players are celebrating after being drafted into the NFL over the weekend. Safety Kerby Joseph was taken in the third by the Detroit Lions, tackle Vederian Lowe was selected by the Vikings in the sixth round and the Chicago Bears took offensive lineman Doug Kramer also in the sixth round. Seven other Illini players were signed by other teams as free agents.
