Mulberry Grove 8th Grade basketball competed in the 8th Grade Sorento Tournament this past weekend and took 2nd place. Mulberry Grove got a 42-23 win over Mt. Olive on Friday night to advance to the Championship game on Saturday where they fell in a close game to Wood River Lewis & Clark, 28-25. Mulberry Grove players Jackson Icenogle and Connor Hartmann were named to the All-Tournament Team and Mulberry Grove was the only team to place more than one player on the team. Mulberry Grove 8th grade is now 9-5 overall on the season.
