Section of Route 185 in Montgomery County will be closed for repairs beginning today

A section of Illinois Route 185 in Montgomery County will be closed for repairs beginning today.  Illinois Department of Transportation District 6 reported on Tuesday that Illinois Route 185 will close today between Hillsboro and Coffeen for road reconstruction due to mine subsidence—which has been an issue through that stretch of the highway for several months.  I-DOT says a detour will be established using local county roads.  They add the road is expected to reopen no later than November 24th.
