Individual dies in a drowning on Sunday afternoon at Ramsey Lake State Park

Fayette County Coroner David Harris is releasing some information in regard to the drowning at Ramsey Lake State Park on Sunday afternoon.  Coroner Harris says the victim of the drowning was 61 year old Glendal Franklin Jackson of rural Teutopolis.  The incident happened near the boat dock and is being investigated by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, DNR Conservation Police and the Illinois State Police.  Harris says an autopsy on Jackson is scheduled for Tuesday morning in Effingham and no other information is being released at this time.
