(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois House is advancing a massive health care reform bill. The proposal is meant to address racial and ethnic disparities in the state’s health care system. Republicans opposed the bill because they consider it an unfunded mandate. House Democrats say the money will come from federal funding. The measure is headed to the Senate.
