The Vandalia School Board discussed 2nd semester plans during their board retreat on Thursday evening. Vandalia Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Garrison says staffing issues have been there throughout this first semester. But, she says those issues have intensified since the Thanksgiving holiday.
Dr. Garrison says she would recommend going with remote learning for the 2 weeks coming back from the holiday break. She says it’s just not sustainable to have more than 30 staff out with uncontrolled community spread.
We’ll hear more from the Vandalia School Board retreat coming up on Monday.
