We could see severe storms in the area this afternoon and tonight.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely–mainly this afternoon–with a high of 88. And, showers and storms are likely tonight–mainly before 9 pm–with a low of 67.
In the latest Situation Report from the National Weather Service in St. Louis shows the entire region in “marginal” area for severe storms–which means isolated severe storms are possible. The NWS says numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of a cold front, with peak storm coverage to be mid to late afternoon and large hail and damaging winds are the primary threat. For our area, the threat of storms would be between 2 pm and 10 pm.
