Russell Burwin “Bur” Merriman, 98, of Fillmore, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020, surrounded by his family at home, in Fillmore, IL.
Private family graveside service and interment, with military rites, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 22, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ramsey, IL, with Father Scott Snider, officiating. He was born January 25, 1922, in Bingham, IL, the son of John Henry & Ada (Landers) Merriman. Married Helen Eileen Otto May 8, 1948, in Ramsey, IL, she passed away August 28, 2019. He was a farmer; WWII Army Veteran; and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by: Sons – Larry Merriman & Anita, Ramsey, IL, Mark Merriman & Jan, Fillmore, IL, and Steve Merriman & Lisa, Vandalia, IL; Daughters – Brenda Cline & Mike, Joliet, MT, Cathy Manning & Brent, Pawnee, IL, and Carol Eickhoff & Danny, Hillsboro, IL; 11 Grandchildren; and 23 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Wife; Brother – Ward Merriman; Sister – Infant-Norma; Granddaughter – Andrea; and Great Granddaughters – Twins-Emma & Ella.
