
A Farina man has been charged with robbery and aggravated battery. 37-year old Darrel K. Moulton appeared in Fayette County Court on Friday where he was advised of the charges against him. Moulton is charged with one count of robbery as information states that Moulton allegedly “knowingly took property, being $600, from the person of the victim, by threatening the imminent use of force, and the victim is over the age of 60 years old.” The count is a Class 1 felony punishable by 4 to 15 years in prison. Moulton is also charged with aggravated battery as information states that Moulton allegedly committed a battery as he is said to have “struck the victim on or about the face.” That count is a Class 3 felony punishable by two to five years in prison. Bail for Moulton has been set at $25,000 and he has been appointed attorney Ryan Connor. Moulton will make his first appearance with counsel for a preliminary hearing on December 17 at 10am. Moulton remains in the Fayette County Jail.
