More information on fatal accident Monday on Route 185 in Fayette County

A 44 year old Raymond woman was killed in a two vehicle accident on Monday afternoon in Fayette County.  Illinois State Police reports say that 44 year old Kimberly Ann Hopper of Raymond was traveling on Illinois Route 185 when they say she lost control of her vehicle and drove into oncoming traffic, striking a tractor trailer head on.  State Police say Hopper’s passenger, a 10 year old female from Raymond, was transported to an area hospital.  The driver of the semi, 52 year old Kenneth E. Dothager of Shobonier, was not injured in the accident.  The accident occurred at 12:28 Monday afternoon and led to Route 185 being closed in that area for a few hours.
