
The Fayette County CEO’s inaugural class will begin the wrap up the of the year this Friday evening, when they hold their Trade Show and all put their individual businesses on display. Cori Hipsher of Vandalia’s business is an all natural soy candle and wax melt company where she uses all natural ingredients from scents to the wax. She talks about how she came up with the idea for her business.
Cori she she plans to continue her business while she is in college. Cori says she learned about trial and error with her business and that you often learn more from your failures. And, she says that getting her financials down was one of her biggest challenges. Meanwhile, Macy Cripe of Brownstown talks about her business.
Macy says coming up with the idea of her business was a combination of influence from her family and her love for fashion. Macy says she’s learned in business you really have to sell yourself first. And, she says some of the challenges has been managing finances and inventory.
The Fayette County CEO Trade Show will be held on Friday from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the Kaskaskia College-Vandalia Campus.
