The Vandalia Police Department assisted in the arrest of an individual on a parole warrant on Friday. Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray says they assisted the U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement in the arrest of 23 year old Jesse D. Horn. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Horn had been serving time at Big Muddy Correctional Center on Fayette County convictions of Delivery of Methamphetamine and Failure to Return from Furlough. On those charges, Horn had entered guilty pleas and was sentenced in Fayette County Court in June of 2017 and the I-DOC website says that Horn was paroled on October 12th of this year. But, the I-DOC’s website listed Horn as an absconder. Chief Ray says there were no local charges at this time.
