Monday was the first day to file petitions for the upcoming April 2 Consolidated Election. Several petitions for school board seats in the county were filed. In the Vandalia School District, current board members Matt Hall, Judy Wasmuth and Jay Smith filed to run for re-election. Also filing to run in the Vandalia School were Craig Hart and Ryan Lewis, both for 4 year terms.
In the Brownstown School District, current board members Kent Kistler and John Schaub have both filed petitions to run for re-election. The seat currently filled by board member Don Bloemker is also up for election this April.
In the St. Elmo School District, Josh Fulk has filed to run for the board. Current board members Jared Stine, Shannon Moss and Mindy Healy are up for election this cycle but have not filed petitions to run at this time.
In the Ramsey School District, the seats of Allen Marley, Rodney Hunt and Jessica Christian are all up for election. At this time, there have been no petitions filed for the Ramsey School Board.
