(Undated) — George H.W. Bush is being remembered as a war hero. The 41st President passed away at the age of 94 on Friday. Bush was born June 12th, 1924, the son of Republican Senator Prescott Bush of Massachusetts. He graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover and joined the U.S. Navy on his 18th birthday. Bush is said to be the youngest pilot in the Navy to receive his wings. While flying combat missions in World War Two, he was shot down twice. He was honored with the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism under fire.
