Both Brownstown and St. Elmo are set to host Christmas events.
This evening at 6 pm, the Village of Brownstown will be hosting their annual “Christmas on Main St.” at the Brownstown Village Hall at 114 E. Main Street. Brownstown Elementary School students will be hanging ornaments on the tree, Santa will be on hand to light the tree and visit with the children. Local churches are encouraged to attend and help lead everyone in singing Christmas Carols. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served and all residents are invited to attend.
“Christmas in St. Elmo” will be on Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm on Main Street downtown St. Elmo. From 2 pm to 5 pm will be vendors booths and businesses open house, 3 pm to 5 pm will be free carriage rides at the Police Station, also from 3 pm to 5 pm Santa will be at City Hall and at 5:15 pm will be the lighting of the City Christmas Tree. Then, at 6 pm will be the Ministerial Alliance Community Christmas Service at the St. Elmo Christian Church. The event is sponsored by the City of St. Elmo.
