The state’s unemployment rate increased slightly last month to 4.2 percent. The October jobless rate rose just a tenth of a point over September. Illinois Department of Employment Security spokesperson Bob Gough says the good news is that more than 10 thousand jobs were added last month.
Trade, transportation and utilities saw the biggest job gains, followed by manufacturing and the government sector.
