The two incumbents rolled to wins in Fayette County races on Tuesday, while a Republican also took the one open seat–giving Republicans all the county wide seats.
For Fayette County Treasurer, Republican Michelle Hagy took 5126 votes to defeat Democrat Lucas Watson, who finished with 1973 votes. Hagy takes the seat that is currently held by Democrat Rose Hoover, who is retiring.
Fayette County Sheriff, Republican Chris Smith was re-elected for a 2nd term, as he secured 4646 votes to 2575 votes for Democrat challenger Ed Durbin.
For Fayette County Clerk, Republican Vicky Conder was re-elected by a wide margin, taking 4861 votes to defeat Democrat Donna Thull, who received 2312 votes.
Republican Supervisor of Assessments Cindi Lotz ran unopposed and was elected for another term. Coroner Dave Harris ran unopposed and will cover the 2 years remaining on the term originally held by Bruce Bowen.
