A new court date has been set for a Vandalia man charged with attempted murder. An appearance was made on Wednesday morning by 49-year old Gregory Hill’s defense counsel Jeffrey DeLong in the matter in which Hill is charged with one count of attempted murder, a Class X felony punishable by six to 30 years in prison and one count of aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony, punishable by three to seven years in prison. During the appearance, it was announced that subpoenaed records from HSHS St. John’s Hospital had been received. Those records will go to the defense and the state and a new court date has been schedule for November 10 at 1pm for a pre-trial hearing and status on discovery in the case. Hill remains in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bond.
