(Quincy, IL) — A handful of lawyers with the Illinois Attorney General’s office are among the first to appear before the grand jury looking into the deaths at the Quincy veterans home. The Herald-Whig reported yesterday that three lawyers with Lisa Madigan’s office appeared before the panel. Madigan is looking to see if anyone broke any laws in dealing with the Legionnaires outbreak at the home that left 13 people dead since 2015. None of the lawyers said what they testified about.
