(Chicago, IL) — The campaign for Illinois governor candidate J.B. Pritzker is being accused of racial discrimination and harassment. A lawsuit filed yesterday in Chicago federal court claims the vast majority of black and Latino campaign workers are herded into race-specific positions. The suit also says the workers are offered no meaningful chance for advancement and receive less favorable treatment than their white counterparts. Current polls have Pritzker far ahead of Republican incumbent Governor Bruce Rauner leading up to next month’s election.
