(Benton, IL) — A federal inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary in Marion is facing additional time behind bars. Kurt Johnson was convicted yesterday of filing false involuntary bankruptcy petitions against the prison warden and another officer. The fictitious petitions claimed that they were indebted 20-billion-dollars to Johnson. He then canceled one-billion of the supposed debt and filed forms with the IRS showing the canceled debt as unreported income for his victims.
