Attendance was down at this year’s Illinois State Fair but vendor sales were up. More than 369 thousand people visited the State Fair in Springfield last month. That’s a decrease of 8 percent compared to last year. Fair Spokesperson Denise Albert says all in all it was a great fair with good weather and high vendor receipts.
Albert says grandstand concerts sales were solid, with more than 50 thousand attending shows and over 1.8 million dollars in total ticket revenue.
