Governor Bruce Rauner, during the Illinois State Fair’s Veterans Day Program, signed legislation that establishes November 4th as “G.I. Bill of Rights Day” in Illinois. State Representative John Cavaletto was a sponsor of the legislation.
The bill also commemorates the 75th anniversary of the meeting at the Luther B. Easley Post 128 in Salem that helped to established the G.I. Bill of Rights.
