(Wauconda, IL) — An Illinois-based maker of tool boxes and gun safes is closing up shop, and is blaming President Trump’s tariffs for the decision. Stack-On Products this week told state officials that it will close offices in Wauconda and McHenry in October, and move production to Mexico. Stack-On’s Al Fletcher says the company made the decision two months ago when President Trump’s tariffs lead to a spike in steel and aluminum prices.
